Aiseesoft iPod + iPhone 4 PC Suite

This suite combines two different applications from Aiseesoft: iPod Transfer and iPhone 4 Ringtone Maker.

You can buy both applications separately if you want, but buying them together results in some savings. With these two tools, you can manage your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

The first app lets you transfer content, such as music, movies, photos and even ringtones from and to your device. This app comes with a video converter and a DVD ripper that can be used when the files that you want to transfer to your iOS device aren't supported. As you may know, this is the case with many video and audio formats.

The second application can be used to create ringtones for your iOS devices. You can make them out of video files, audio files or even DVD movies. This application also detects and can connect to your iOS device, making the process of putting the resulting ringtone on your device considerably easier.

In my testing of this suite, I used an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2. Both devices were detected and connected just fine. The "Transfer" app let me transfer content to and from my devices without any problems. The ringtone maker didn't give me trouble either.

It has to be noted that for these apps to be able to connect to your devices, they must be able to sync with iTunes. And iTunes may need to be installed on your system.
